Your Alternate Amp?

Well, don't know about everyone else, but there will come a day, when the amp gets borrowed/blown up/ damaged/lost/etc etc and one will be looking for alternate ampilfication.
Regardless of whether it will damage the "alternate" ampilfication, i used my dvd player with the home theater system thingy, plugged into the mic inputs, turned to the AUX channel, and boom bada bing i have sound! It is not the right thing to do everyone knows, but heck sometimes i get desperate sometimes. Surprisingly i get a very interesting lead tone when i played through it with a rat boosted by sahasrara with added subtle delay to give the solo that really huge presence.
So has anyone, used any form of alternate ampilfication? I.E. radios/TV/etc etc xD

like you, i used my tonelab le through my home theather system, the tones were... not too bad. but not too good eihter

Nope, I'm too scared of blowing up the system and have my dad yell at me lol.. or worse, house burn down.

Only tried it the other way, use my amp as a giant speaker lol.

Hi-Fi system.

Computer speakers (with a POD)

Or why don't you just practice unplugged. You don't always need the pedals and stuff for practicing.
