Yamaha NP 30 digital piano

I couldn't find a review on this so I thought I'll put a thread on this. I went to luthermusic with the PSR line in mind but I came across this NP-30. The salesperson claimed it was very sellable and most gigging musicians fancy and buy this for their own gigs.

It has 76 keys, graded touch (understand the feel can set to soft/med/heavy feel), has dual, incredible stereo sound when plugged into PA and is below 500.

Any reviews about this keyboard? I've only heard mostly good stuff about this. What about negatives? I've heard some hissing issues about this digital piano.

Anything else? I'm really keen on getting this and I'll really appreciate replies on this 'undiscovered value-for-money buy'!

The keys are not fully weighted. Semi weighted. Thats why it's so light in weight.

Other than that, I think its value for money. Light weight means portable, easy to bring for gigs. Good for pple who wants to gig with more than 61 keys.

=)

yup the np30 would be a really good buy. it has all the basic functions and its highly portable. however the semi-weighted keys may not work for everyone, some may prefer the heavier touch that actual weighted keys give. but then again, that is also dependent on the music u play

in all i guess if you are looking for a very basic and portable keyboard for gigs, the np30 would be just right :)

oh and im looking to sell my 1 year old np30 because im thinking of getting a higher end synth instead. do pm me if u are interested/ have any more questions about the keyboard, willing to let go at a low price :)
