Yamaha clearance sale?

bought a mounted tambourine, and skins. eq1 BD batter, 14" genera hd and st dry coated. mine werent sticky, they're quite fine really.

the guy who got the DTXpress III queued from 4pm yesterday.

eh marc, what time you going down tmr? i might wanna go again just to see if i can get anymore stuff. the marching bass drum looks damn tempting.

i hope they have g1 clear 10" man.. haha aiming that one rather than the reso.. altho same thing.. hahahaha

im heading there at around 3+.. so reaching there coming to for or at 3.30.. will call u once im heading there.. cya bro.. oh yah if can bring the mags ah haha..
 
I was very damn happy when I was at the void deck of that yamaha block....thinking tat everyone was at werk n sch and the line will b a short n sweet one....
bt that was not the case....went there at abt 9.30 am and the line was like anaconda sia....damn long....
bt I bought the chimes....$80 oni sia....retail price at abt $331....damn good bargain....wanted to buy the tambourine, bt I had one myself, so dun care much.....
I oso bought the heads....$13 per piece...beat that man....and it was'nt sticky le....was goin home like a walking dummy sia....alot of stuff on both hands...
The sale was worth while la....cheap to the max ah...bt hope to see more drum stuff....
 
hey DullTheater, i saw you at the sale yesterday! i got in when you were queuing up for payment.

anyway, marc dont think i'll be going down today. maybe going down tmr with my uncles and cousins cos they're planning on getting some stuff too.
 
when i was there... the cymbals were all gone. haha. and only one cymbal on sale i believe... 15" k custom dry crash
 
i believe the only cymbals that were on sale were the ZXT effects set, 16" EFX mix, 15" k custom dry crash, and an 18" breakbeat ride; or at least according to the pdf list. oh they had concert cymbals too, which i believe people do incorporate into their drum setups.

the windchimes, 26" marching bass drum and compact conga were soooo tempting. still got loads of guitars, all piled up high, folk guitars i think.
 
I feel like crying....I only got to know of the offer today...and now the DTXpress III SP is gone...oh man...I've always wanted an electronic drumset....sigh....man.....
 
i joined at queue at about 920 but by the time i got in, most of the good stuff were gone. seems like the people in front of me mostly drummers cos all the good drums stuff gone.

bought a mountable tamborine and a cymbal bag. wanted to get the splash cymbal claw but by the time i got in, all gone. the funny thing is after i paid money i saw an uncle digging 4 of those out from one corner behind the boxes..
 
Yeah me and Pakerdee were there! He bought this giant keyboard MO-8 and we lugged it all the way like 2 clowns. I also bought the LP single row chimes, it was the last single-row chimes there. It was 65 dollars.

Also I ran into this small little incident there. There was this Dave Weckl snare this guy picked up, but he couldn decide to buy or not. I saw the snare and I thought it would be a good buy and I asked if he wanted it. He wanted a 13" and couldn't decide la. Haha in the end we both didn't buy it. Haha.

well im the guy that pissed everyone that were buying the DTXPRESS III out. lol. im sorry ah. im becoming an auntie la, but seriously the offer was too good. :P

didnt know that i can become so famous overnight. ;)

oh yeah, i wonder who are the ones right before me wanting to buy the set too. they're all a nice bunch of guys, wonder what are their users in SOFT. :)

oh and yes, any dtxpress users here. im having trouble setting up the set, when i jack in my headphones (with everything set in place that is, all the wires connected to the respective pads and i'm seeing signals in the console), i cant hear anything, but when i press the play (metronome and stuff like that), theres sound. so hmm...

haha, the offer really really really out of my mind la, used to have a pearl forum but then hdb, ppl complain and all. so yup, sold it for 550, and now here comes an electronic set selling at 600, its like, the gods are with me man!

oh well, i helped my friend to buy a couple of stuff, my bro queued right beside me though, he got number 2 in the queue. we bought a s03 something keyboard and a drumstool, with other guitar accessories and all. well, 18 hours was worth the wait. :P

oh and i finally got it working, i just resetted it to factory mode. :P

I bought one K custom special dry crash, LP aspire bongo, LP bongo bag, percussion bracket, mountable tambourine and a 13" marching snare.

I bought a compact bongo stand which I have no need. Anyone who has a compact bongo or intend to buy one, let me know because this compact bongo is a compliment. Going for $50.
