Yamaha Asian Beat Band Competition 2009 vs Tokyo Band Summit

Damnit it was quite mad just now, couldn't hear other guitarist and bassist, the other 2 couldn't hear me. The bass drums in our set overpowered everything else, too damn loud, especially with the extremely rapid double pedalling of our drummer.

Right bro.. MY band had to waste quite a few precious minutes trying to compromise with the soundcrew before we could even get the first note played. A few hiccups here and there, but didn't really affect our playing. Bass amp wasn't loud enough for us to hear on stage. The given drumset's beater came loose flew off towards the end of our song. Our guitarist's amp wasn't loud enough for the solo, but good thing he had a booster handy and activated it in time to shred the axe.

Then again, all of these things are considered normal if you're a regular in the competitive circuit. They sure as well don't happen often in the clubs that I've been in.

All in all, not much for us to say except that we came, we played, and we rocked out on stage.

.\m/ Rock \m/.
