cant tell if he uses a hard overdriven tone or a light/med sort of dist.

i looking for tones like the X's "endless rain" solo and "art of life" type o.

his yellow heart has a dimarzio super distortion - bridge.

think you can find this information in the net. search for his MG series.

any idea wat his neck pickups is ,pink spider?( i noe you a r a hide fan based on ur nick lol). i kinda of like his thin sounding leads using the neck(i think, i use my bridge cos my neck pups is pretty fat sounding).

i doubt he uses neck pickup for lead. the super distortion on his yellow heart is coil splitted. Most of the time he has a fernandes sustainer in his neck pickup position.

hide's acrylic mockingbird can be found in yamaha too!1.7k though...

i'll take alook at the dimarzo pickups. i'm actually interested in his black mocking bird, the 1 with the white neck pickup. saw him used tt axe in Art of Life '93 live at the tokyo dome.brillant tone there.

If you have the video , look at 5.37 of art of life (live tokyo dome), hide brushes his hair up. i see a H-S-H combo and the head stock looks diff( a burny i think). plus the bridge pickup don seem like a emg-styled design, jus the normal passive design.

Btw, the 1 you target for looks swt haha.can afford 1 la.. onli a matter of time. when you start working can alreadi. i have 4 / 5 guitars in mind to get in the future when i start working also haha( currently onli 1)
