X Japan Returns

Any one here has X-japan CD album?

I heard from my young cousins that it is rather expensive compare to other covers.

I see... was having reunion dinner with my young cousins at my place and came to know one of them was playing as bassist and they are into J-rock. They looked kind of shocked when showed them the above album, which I had it 18yrs ago. Didnt know J-rock is such a in-thing among young generation now.

those 30 bucks albums that you can buy from HMV (ie the double CD deluxe edition of Blue Blood and Jealousy) are all pressed in Taiwan. if you wanna collect the actual Japanese edition i think you have to pay a lot more.

eg i wanted to import Galneryus from Japan, inokii told me that it would cost a bomb! maybe i should just use my ang pow money to get at least 1 album haha.

Thinks it's rather big, cause alot of people always mention them here on SOFT alone...and I know alot of friends who aren't in SOFT who are fans of X Japan.

Can someone tell me what's special about them? Other than Hide dying prematurely?

they were one of the first few bands that managed to put full on headbangin' power metal tracks next to a sappy ballad next to a fully symphonic number. and also one of the pioneers of the visual kei movement in japan!

for me it was art of life that got me hooked.
