Dear all,
I have a rare 2010 Brad Paisley J-45 as only 300 are produced world-wide. This guitar has been dehumidified and put on tone-rite regularly. The upgrades include a Fishman AG series undersaddle pickup for a more natural acoustic tone, vintage bone saddle and dyed bone pins.
It comes with its own super-snug luxury hard case complete with plush diva red lining, an owner's manual, certificate of authenticity and Gibson's Gold Warranty.
Designed and built in the image of the original 1942 Legend models, the Paisley J-45 features the classic tonewood combination of highly prized Adirondack Red spruce for its solid top, solid Honduran mahogany back and sides and coupled with a Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard. The workmanship is excellent throughout and the materials used appear of the highest quality.
Its greatest tonal strength lies in its rich, plump bass. Without any boom or fluff, it underpins chord work with a solid, defined low-end. In short, its crisp, snappy, articulate and full tone is delivered right across the fingerboard. Importantly, it fits with Gibson's Custom and True Vintage ranges; guitars that without doubt stand apart from its standard instruments.
Brad Paisley J-45 is a striking guitar. Its classic, stylish lines, mother-of-pearl inlays, pre-war headstock and fitments, plus an oversized tortoise shell pickguard complete with engraved paisley pattern are all arresting and appealing.
As this guitar is under-utilized, I have decided to part with it and I hope to sell it at around S$3800. Gibson USA & Amazon.com is selling at US$4159 (excluding shipping). With more than 30% discount for a mint guitar with upgrades like this is a rare find. Alternatively, you may drop your reasonable offer for my consideration.
As for trade, here are some models that I would consider:
- Gibson J45 standard, J200M Trophy 75th Anniversary
- Lower end Taylors or Martins
If you have any other guitar that is in the S$1k-$2.5k range, I may consider too.
