Hi, I am intending to sell my 2-3 month old DTXpress IV Special as I have decided not to pursue my training in drumming. I bought it in April during the Yamaha fair, at a discounted price of $2.1k, and spent another $200 getting a drum stool. Yamaha is still selling this for $2099 with a stool but without a footpedal, which I am including in this sale.
The DTXpress is excellent for drummers of any skill level who wish to practice at home in their apartments without disturbing the rest of the household or neighbours. You can easily plug in a set of headphones and play quietly, and you can also jack in from your iPod or other music players and play along with the music. I bought this set precisely for these reasons, to be able to practice quietly at home.
It has proper 3 zone snare, 3 zone cymbals and a proper hats stand with almost real hats (instead of the "fake" ones of other models), and comes with 50 preset drum kit sounds.
Since I bought it in April, I seldom played on it, and I reckon I spent a total of less than 10 hours max playing, so the kit is still in excellent condition.
I will post photos when I get home later to show the condition of the set.
I hope to let go of this drumset at about $1750, which is a good price for a 2-3 month old drumset that has been seldom played and never taken out of the house.
