WTS: Vintage Gibson J45/50

In the mid ’70s Gibson labels called it the J-45 Deluxe, and in ’76 it was lumped together with the J-50 as the J-45/50 model.Top is flat, bridge is tight and room to lower the action.

This Kalamazoo or Nashville Plant made guitar shows very high quality workmanship. Gibson Deluxe factory tuners. Bookmatched spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides.

The serial number dates it to 1975.

Cool binding front and back. Beautiful blonde finish has turned a darker pumpkin color and looks fantastic. There is a lot of cross grain on the spruce and is very impressive. Couple of minor dings and scratches here and there.

Very good tone out of this one. Nice and bright. Loud and full. Great sustain. Guitar really rings.
