ABOUT THIS TAYLOR MODEL:
This rare Taylor Grand Concert (full solid Western Cedar top and a Claro Walnut back/sides) guitar is up for sale and will sit very comfortably (and prettily!) in your lap. The W12 model was only in production for 3 years and this particular guitar was made in El Cajon, California in 1998. Final year of production was in 2000 before Taylor ran out of the select Claro walnut material that went into building these beautiful W12 series guitars.
The body, rosette, headstock and fingerboard of this guitar are all bound in ivoroid and beautifully inlaid with abalone, the very same appointments found on the classic high end 900 series Taylors from that era. This guitar has the old style neck which is made from one solid piece of mahogany. Nut width is 1 3/4". Action has been professionally set up so that fingering becomes effortless with the low action. Original tusq saddle recently upgraded to FMI. All other parts are original stock parts. No pickup installed and if you need one, I'm happy to recommend you to somebody who is able to do a good job at a reasonable price. An excellent condition, original Pink Poodle hardshell case will be included.
CONDITION:
Almost mint except for a small scratch indicated in the last photo of this post. Overall condition around 9.5/10, pretty awesome for a guitar that is 16 years old!
CONTACT FOR VIEWING:
Please contact me via Whatsapp or SMS at Eight-1-000-Five-18 to arrange for a non-obligatory viewing session at my place. I have more photos that I can send via Whatspapp or sms if needed. Priced very reasonably for a good quality guitar made during the golden era for Taylor guitars.
I prefer a cash sale but will be open to very specific trades. No electric guitars please, acoustics only. If you have a nice Goodall available for a trade, I really want to hear from you!
