I saw a bass that I've been eyeing for ages. This is a conditional sale, and if that one sells (God forbid), I'm pulling this off the block. Sale only please, unless you have the exact bass I want (and you know who you are).

The Leduc PAD is handmade (single-handedly) in France by Christophe Leduc. It is ALL Padouk (even the KNOBS!) and hence named the PAD. Padouk is an open grain African hardwood, quite similar to rosewood, but brighter. What you get is a sweet organic woody tone, buffered by the modern EMG tone. Contrary to popular belief, padouk knobs do not contribute to tone. Being full padouk, this baby resonates and sustains like crazy.

Sounds like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=d9X-JD8rzZ0
But that guy makes everything sound good, so if you don't mind bad playing (amp set flat, 1 drums, 2 bass tracks): https://soundcloud.com/jamesoy/leduc-pad-6

$3000 negotiable, once off price.
Text me at 90-[triple-6]-587.

22 frets, 34" scale, 4.5 kg (guess-timate, but not heavy at all)
Padouk body, neck, fretboard, knobs
EMG soapbars
Preamp is a Leduc-EBS custom brainchild
Gotoh tuners
String spacing 9 mm (at nut), 18 mm (at bridge)
Controls are Vol-Bal-Lows-Highs
Freshly strung with SR2000s

More details at http://leduc.pagesperso-orange.fr/oldsite/en/_pad1.htm
Leduc's current price list is here: http://ubass.free.fr/index.php?page=50
and 6 stringers go for 3600-4000 euros
