hello guys. dont flame me! been ages since i've been here, so maybe a lil outta touch with the pricing and stuff. Was told that Gibson Appreciate over time, and not Depreciate. Well i cant edit the post, so Price Reduced To S$10K. If that still sounds exorbitant, then could someone pm/text me what would be the "comfortable" range!? Thanx!!!

a brand new 1957 reissue Gibson Les Paul at Swee Lee doesn't even come close to your reduced price. Yours is just a Gibson Les Paul Standard with a Flame Top. Hope that helps as a price reference.

Hmm... Not exactly wrong.
But, the normal series depreciate, while the very selective limited series appreciate.

Bro... perhaps you were mislead or misinformed when you purchased it. True... good quality guitars with collectable value would generally appreciate in value over time... but those are few and only the very select and in demand limited edition guitars would appreciate in value over such a short period of time.

For normal production guitars, you'd be lucky to even breakeven on what you paid new. Maybe in 10-15 years, when inflation catches up you can get back close to what you paid.

But do a search on what other LPs are asking for a good idea of what is a realistic market value.
