Just a point out... there's quite a bit of routing associated with installing a fernandes sustainer... just so you know...

there are also alternatives such as the jackson sustainer, and the kramer sustaniac

and Sustaniac too. Pretty cool.... the one thats a sinlge coil size, allowing you to mount a normal single coil pup beside it...

Do all the sustainers use battery ... aniwae whats the range price???

Yeah, you need a battery for the sustainer function to function... when off, it usually functions as a passive pup albeit, unimpressive.
