Wondering abt peoples preferences.

Hey guys, im making a project guitar and was hoping to see what some guys like in their guitar, maybe influence my choices. Anyway. Plz answer poll.

my body wood preference depends on the pickups which would be resident there...

maple for a guitar body is not recommended- weight issues. unless it's gonna be a hollowbody...

This poll is missing the point....

You choose the wood because you wish for your guitar to manifest certain qualities - tone & weigh & look & etc.

And everything else matters, like pickup choices.

Spend some time thinking about what you want in your project guitar, then tell us what you wish to get out of it, that would be more helpful imo.

My choice of wood would depend mostly on what kind of guitar I am after. For metal, I would go with basswood.

But for my Tele I would go for ash, for that signature twang, snap and roadhouse feel.

Of course, as mentioned, much would also depend on your pickup choice, etc.

Just my 2cents' worth.

based on your reasoning df, you should then delve through all the posts in SOFT and check for the multitude of errors (spelling, semantics, punctuation, yada yada) and clarify if geetar is the indian sibling of guitar for instance.
