hi if im spraying my guitar and i wanna remove the pickups...how do i go about doin it?wires for the pickup go thru a hole into the control cavity...so do i need to cut the wires?if so where?

DONT CUT.. unsolder and remove ALL ITEMS including hardware, electronices etc...

unsolder at the pot side or the pickup side?

Actually, with a little R&D around, you can mark out ur point well, and if you are a skilled engineer, soldering is not a problem. Be confident, and try. If it doesnt turn up right, send it to a professional to check. I did 2 of my strats and my epi dot. Really put my tecnical knowledge to use.

ok it seems u have no clue how the internals work.

just take it to a tech then to be safe.

if u are good at soldering stuff, then open up the back cover, unsolder the pickup wires.

u have to unscrew the pups from ur guitar first if u dont know which wires are from the pup.

most ppl including techs will unsolder at the pots..

if U unsolder at the pick up, you might have to engage my services to resolder back...

i do micro surgery soldering... :wink:
