Why Singapore Rocks!

kinda surprised ...

always tot chris ho / X'ho ( zircon pawnstarz ) was an attention seeker and just a plain 5 secs of fame media whore and a publicity stuntster

never realised he was so deeep ... wow ...

..

X'ho has 2 books out. both in his best cantonese auntie complain mode on the ugly singaporeans. had a good laugh.

He's been in the scene even before there was a scene!!

who ahboy?

Owner of TNT Studios...

Probably where the 2nd and 3rd generation of local indie rockers developed their musical styles. Can we say it's a historical place in Singapore indie music.

And Nirvana jammed there when they were on their promo tour back in '91?

Ah Boy - the cool guy!

Yup, I guess as much. He's pretty much a legend unto his own. And obviously more punk than the so-called punk bands out there.

He's got the attitude and the depth to know the reasons to back up that action. Not a rebel without a cause or in fact, like most, without a clue. He's got the balls to write about things which people only dare to discuss in kopitiams. The whole entire media whore (including the Zircon song itself) is pretty hilarious...

Granted electro clash ain't for everyone...

Anyways, stars, if you are interested in his articles, here's the link:

thanks :D tts interesting ... haha

hmmz was wondering ... could we compile a history of rockers in singapore ? the details about singapore rock culture and past seem very veyr murky and like almost "non-existent" ( not true la , just tt the past history of rockers and all have very little publicity / not easily avaliable for everyone to read and access : hence , poor public perception and knowledge)
