Hey guys.
Search "indie/local/scene bands" on google in Sg.
You'll find like a ton of websites which claim to be the most COMPREHENSIVE site on our local scene.
To name a few, Audioreload
MusicPlague
Lion City Underground
Aging Youth

even S.O.F.T
Not to diss them or anything, I mean they are really great individual sites and brands, communities, guides. But here's the BUMMER. It's so UN-comprehensive.
Every week we have got like a pile of gigs/ performances going on. The majority of this is not covered. And i'm not even talking about some unknown uber- underground bands. Hell no. We're talking Plainsunset, The Observatory, I am David Sparkle and GSE!
Performances at Home Club, Timbre and the likes. Heck i'll even throw in the Esplanade (MOSIAC FEST).
These go unnoticed to people who rely on these comprehensive indie guides. The only way you get wind of these stuff is by being part of the scene. If not you are missing out on so much!
Sooo, guys help out each other. Compile. Publicise. Share your info.
Then we will become this huge family, supa in the know.
I'm done whining.
Much appreciation

Well, since you know so much, why don't you help us all out and post in the 'Gigs and concerts' section? I'm sure people will appreciate your efforts :)

i dunno bout the rest. but for all i know, soft.com.sg is the most popular, so this is where you get the biggest, quickest and most responses to giga, etc.
lion city hardcore basically covers the hardcore, thrash, punk underground scene and leftwing issues that arent popular here.

Hey hey, people don't publicise their own performance or gig organisers don't publicise theirs, what can we do? If they are not trying, that means they already have their expected number of audience... If people are free and they know about these performances, and want to help others publicise their events for free, by all means... Go ahead, cause it'll benefit the rest. But for goodness sake, if you know bands or gig organisers, tell them to post their own event here (not as if they don't already know soft.com.sg exist).

Thank you for the mention.

We are a little lazy these days to keep the web-zine in tip-top shape but hey, if we were allowed some beer bragging rights, we have the largest archive of Singapore band interviews and reviews which cover all genres except for dance/ techno/ house music. My DJ friends recommended us against it, to stick to what we know best.

I don't think we were all that comprehensive. We just had the most content in terms of personal interviews. It's actually interesting to read that archive and see how some of our friends are doing these days. Interestingly, most of the acts are still around. That's really nice to know.

I feel we didn't cover the hiphop scene enough. Our bad.

Thanks guys

ya. S.O.F.T is the best in comparison. And i realized everyone's doing their part already. And i should post gigs instead of just talking about it. MUCH APPRECIATION GUYS!
