whose your 3 favourtie guitarist in the world?

LOL .. not to worry..

this question's been asked far too many times and answered blindly as well... i guess there's no best at all... see if you take Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert and Steve Vai.. really, how would you judge? 3 different drastic styles altogether.. think bout it... :D

Theres no best in the world, thats the fact...

However, if the thread was to go like "Which 3 guitarists influenced u the most?", would be more intresting...

Yes, there is no such thing as the "best" guitarist.

However, you should rephrase it as in which guitarists influenced you the most, or are currently your favourites. That would be better.

For me, it will have to be Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmons and Neil Zaza, in that order. Cheers.

The 3 best guitarist in the world are:

1. Tom Delonge (the legend)
2. Benji Madden (Good Charlotte)
3. Jeff Stinco (Simple Plan)

So true... :toimonster:

But if you were to ask my top 3 favourite. They would be Malmsteen, Satch, Vai... I like Petrucci just as much as I like them. but since its only 3... i guess he cant be in.

LoL yea, it's gotta be one of the most interesting choices i've seen as well.
For me, Malmsteen, Zaza, Michael Romeo.

For favourite style of music i would pick:

1) Tremonti
2) Kirk Hammett
3) Saul Hudson AKA Slash

For favourite sense of creativity i would pick:

1) Malmsteen (when guitarists are using minor pentatonics , he uses minor harmonics which makes him stand out from most guitarists)
2) Joe Satch
3) Eric Johnson (i've only listened to Manhattan but i think his style of playing really captures that "urban" kinda feeling)

For favourite sense of technicality i would pick:

1)Malmsteen
2)Steve Vai
3)Joe Satch

i would love to put Petrucci on one of these list although i've heard that he's of comparable standard to G3 , but i've not listened to his music yet so i can't make any false claims....

I would say Yngwie is probably the least creative guitarist EVER, he has sounded roughly the same since 'Rising Force' came out in the late 80s.

Hahaha, hardcore punker. But I wouldn't say they are the best in the world. Rather, they are the best in YOUR opinion. There really isnt such a thing as "best or worst" guitarist.

And unfortunately for you Malmsteen fans, he IS fast, but ultimately very repetitive. My own opinion. Just don't kill me. =x
