Yesterday, while searching for a lost Cort Bass in Church. I found a 2002 made Fender USA Standard Strat. It's left untouched in our OLD library for more than 2 years due to the renovation.

Brought it home and did some work to it, maintain the fretboard & clean the body... everything is playable.

Howver, I'm amaze at fender's quality.. everything's shiny (little oxidised), no rust. As usual, B E A utiful neck!

Before the any work was done.. dry fretbooard, oxidised frets

wow nice find. i wonder if someone at your church is really pissed that he thought the old library was a safe place to keep his strat during the lunch break though. :S

It doesn't belong to anyone.. it belongs to the church, but the problem is that.. every guitarist have their own guitar including me n no one bothers about any church guitar(s).

This piece of axe was totally forgotten till I was searching for a lost Cort bass.. when I found it, it's filled with dust.. strings are totally rusty.. it's like a forgotten beauty man.

Anyway, I need to ask you guys a question.. sorry.. I'm not a strat person..

What's the recommended pickup height for this type of SSS configuration?

hahaha that i think u have to try for urself. its personal preference. my middle pickup is screwed completely down. cos i find no use of it. ok i admit i did it cos ritchie blackmore did it. hahha

Maybe he wants to use it for himself to play for the church? lol.

I fitted my strat with emgz SSS and it roars cleanly with distortion. =)
