I'm not an expert on snares as im still trying to find that sound i 'm looking for..But i reckon that tama snares have good value for money. Does anyone else have an opinion?

In addition to that, does anyone know how Chad Sexton of 311 gets his half pail half snare sounding like sound?

you can try pearl piccolo. change the skin to a evan skin and it should sound good. btw what's your budget so i can work out something for you

im not sure bout my budget... cos im not sure bout the basic market price of a snare.... n my knowledge bout it is low... mayb $200

get chad smiths sig snare.i'll always say that its a reasonably priced and its good.

actually,any snare will do..if you only know how to tune it well..and it suit your kind of music.it will be great.
