Yeah, I'm seriously considering switching over to Sonar. I'm really disappointed with Logic for stopping support for PC. My PC version is stuck at version 5 - no freeze function, no ReWire etc. But I'm so used to it - and it cost me so much that I'm not willing to let it go!

But since I used to use Cakewalk Pro 7, I am still eligible for the discounted upgrade to Sonar 6. So maybe....

I don't think Sonar is the best. It's just preference. The only reason for me to consider switching is because I use PC and Logic does not support PC anymore. And I used to use Cakewalk so it will be cheaper for me to upgrade to Sonar than to get Cubase.

If I'm using Mac, I'll go for Logic for sure. Or if by some miracle Apple decides to let Logic go cross-platform to PC again, I'll definitely use Logic. It's very powerful especially if you know how to use the Environment screen. Plug-ins are also amazingly powerful - even though my version is extinct (v5; Mac current version is already v7)! Too bad I need ReWire and track freezing which the old Logic doesn't have (doesn't exist at that time). Otherwise, I would have just stuck with it.
