Have you tried all the above 5 multi-effects which you've listed?

IMO, digital effects are an acquired taste, its hard to find one which you like, and what others like might not be what you like. Every multi-effects has its strong points, depends on what you're really looking for. Eg. durability, tone, usability, recording, blah blah...

Personally, I'll go with the GT-8.

Hmmm why the gt8 and not gt10?

Personally, I like the tonelab LE alot.

There's a new kid on the block though - the TC electronics nova system which looks really interesting. May be a bit more $$ however.

depends on what sound u looking for.

at first i bought my zoom g9 was because of kiko loureiro and michael amott are using it.. big fan of them..

the korg ax3000g is more for rock and blues lah..the distortion is really limited.. not for metal players..

X3 live..havent tried.. too expensive anyway..

GT8 is good.. very powerful stuff.. the tone is confirm good.. but i choose zoom because its cheaper and has that double pedal thing which u can do a double whammy or adjust 2 parameters at the same time.. but after i bought it.. haha.. i never use the double pedal at all!
would really like to smell how GT10 smells like though. can't afford to play them.

tonelab LE also good for tone..but not for really hardcore metal kind. distortion is quite limited again..compared with boss or zoom.
but i feel that tonelab SE has the warmest and most natural sounding of all. too bad i dun think its available anymore.

basically zoom stands for cheap and heavy metal.
obviously i vote for zoom.

oh ya dun believe in vox or zoom rubbish about having those preamp 12ax7 tubes.. its complete rubbish.. a tube needs to be driven at very high voltage.. the higher the better.. can go up to 600volts.. so examples like the coltron pedals that work on AA batteries.. or G9 and LE that works on a 15volt adaptor..the tubes are only as good as a lightbulb.. hahaha!
i think i might get my ass screwed by zoom and vox!

good luck in choosing your effector though!

Do note that the PoD X3 Live, Vox Tonelab LE, Zoom G9.1tt and Boss GT8/10 have an effects send and return loop - very important if you have a good set of single effects and intend to continue using them.

VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT!
This are the "best" kind of multieffects, as it doesn't limit you to just itself..
If you want something that the multi-effect doesn't have, you can link up your single pedals and use along with it..
Most multi effects would seriously suck the tone out of single stompboxes..
When I brought home my metal muff, I was disappointed with its tone when it was chained with the zoom g2.1u (although NO patches were switched on).. But after using it by itself, the tone of the muff seriously improved.. ;)

That's why Vox LE have a VR gain nob.

If I am not wrong, the GT-8's biggest problem (only if you do DAW recording) is the lack of a USB/FireWire interface for ease of use with the computer. The GT-10 addresses that!
