Which is your favourite distortion pedal?

Marshall DSL 401 distortion tone is pwnage with 2 channels - 1 for light overdrive and another for full blast distortion.

If I can't get amp distortion, I would prefer using my little red distortion, also known as the Crunch Box.

haha....when you hear MESA...you need to call the MESABOY zax down....

speaking of mesas.....even the tubezone slays the Dual Rectifier on its own clean channel...that just goes to show how great that legendary "famed" mesa distortion is

Of course, there's always that "stars use it" argument, yes Metallica used theirs, but dont forget that theirs were modded....and Hetfield actually used 4 Furnan Parametric equalizers to get that famous "scooped" tone. No way you'r gonna get that sound with a stock Mesa, have fun trying

dont get the meaning of INSIDE joke?

im with my Beta Aivin HM200 for the moment. love it, not gassing for anything within my budget yet.

noobcake.

haha, I kid..

Likewise, I preferred the Tubezone to the Mesa Dual Rec's "drive". Tried one out at a guitar shop and it left me pretty dissapointed.

For me, i would go with BJFE Dyna Red Distortion Pedal, its the best one i've used so far. Gonna stick with me for life on my board.

To be honest the Boss pedals I've heard (DS-2 and MT-2) sounded thin, fizzy and weak, at least to my ears. The HM-2 sounded nice but I have no idea why Boss had to discontinue it.
