which is more important?

hey guys, which kind of effects pedals are more important to you than others?

like for example, maybe someone might put a wah in higher importance than his phaser or chorus.

well, the reason i'm asking is because i'm short on cash (what else is new?) and i cant decide which pedals i should get with what i have first.

What kind of music you are into will help you decide which you should get 1st. For me, i think a wah would be more useful as you can use it for all genres.

good guitar good amp first. then decide on pedals... basically for gear.. theres no right or wrong.

There is only how much you willing to spend?

i already have a behringer V-amp 2 multi-effects unit... but i thought it sucked...
anyway, i figured for myself, it might look something like this.

overdrive/distortion
delay
wah or EQ
phaser



oh and a lil off topic, can someone recommend me a good phaser? i was looking at the moogerfooger phaser and the MXR phase 100... i'm looking for something that'll gimme a strong, juicy phase noise... i like it obvious. haha...

Hmm a wah is a important arsenal for blues/rock player. its a form of expression. got it somewhere from harmony. lol

I'd go with an overdrive/distortion, followed by a delay, wah, and so on.
