so... i´m considering getting another guitar & i´ve shortlisted 3:

Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus

Epiphone G-400

Burny RLC/ RLG-55s

has anyone tried any of these?

can u give me some feedback?

or is there something better in ´bout the same $$$ range?

i´m lookin´ for an axe with:

-fixed bridge

-db hums

-24 frets(optional)

i play mostly rock/metal stuff...but a versatile guitar would be nice...

i won´t be able to try these guitars any time soon, so i appreciate any help...thx in advance...

maybe a RG470 with EMGs81 and 89? haha...tat´s my axe up for sale!! interested mail me!

but , maybe u see go with Ibanez or gibson for your style.

Hi bro. Hope you’ve read my brief take on the epis I auditioned @ Swee Lee. These are dual humbucking units but don’t let the 22 frets keep them away from your list. I’d invest in the Iommi for its wonderful humbuckers & playability.

I’ve also recently acquired a BC Rich body art series which I deem absolute value for money. They have dual humbucking + 24fret models to choose from, but some find the angular body too quirky to embrace. My guitar philosphy these days is simple: if it sounds & feels good, it’s a taker…

On the bolt-on front, the ibanez RG321 is something you should try. Ibanez makes very limited fixed bridge solid bodies & this one is more than a decent option for your list.

Happy hunting…

well i´ve already got an Ibanez Rg550, so i´ve decided to get something different...

yup subversion, i´ve read ur reviews on the gothics & iommi...

are there any significant differences between the normal epis & the gothics?

i´m actually quite interested in the Iommi but i´m not sure if i could afford it...

It’s all about the finish, the gothics are devoid of cellulose. That matte black finish is killer to some of us but others would shelve it together with the current Fender Highway, without the gloss, it doesn’t exude class…

The Iommi lists for $1K but it can be had for much less.

I heard that Brian Moore guitar is a highly versatile rock/jazz guitar, maybe can give it a try? Anyone use or test one before?

if you´ve never tried an sg before the bad thing about it is that the neck is heavier than the body, so it kind of droops down to 5´oclock position once you let go of the neck while playing standing up.

i got the G400 recently and it kicks ass
