which guitar to buy?

so i'm deciding which 2nd guitar to buy.
it is either epiphone les paul studio or epiphone sg-g400

so which should i get?any suggestions

both is almost the same except that the sg is much lighter.

*try both, get the one you like in terms of tone/ feel

*the SG is neck heavy, it'll affect your sit-down playing. not that this is something bad, just FYI

if ur gonna play songs that use alot of the upper frets, U should pick SG

Reaching upper frets on les paul is a nightmare ( at least for me)

les pauls are the sex! Try both. SGs are too thin for my liking. I prefer the tone from a les paul.

the SG has a strong midrange presence, the LP's forte is its bottom end boom but this is more reflective of the Gibson version rather than Epi...

Choose based on tone and how it feels when you play. I choose my guitar, the LP Standard on tone. But, after a while i realised that the feeling isn't that good. the neck to me is too rough. i can't slide properly and it kind of affects playing although it is minor. so, yeah. choose wisely. the SG has a light body and heavy neck while the LP has a heavy body and lighter neck... You may want to consider other guitars though

I'd prefer the SG, like the feel more than a LP. But its up to you.

Just saying, if you wanna get the SG, get the Faded G-400..
It comes with a different set of pickups that makes it much more appealing as to other Epiphone SGs..

the epi iommi sg's are one level above all the other epi sgs

ahha. i'd always prefered the sg's to the lespauls

the sg has this slightly edgier tone compared to the creamy lespaul tone (as what sub said; more obvious in gibbys)

and its much much much lighter and easier to move around with
