hi ya need to get myself a gutiar real soon, after finding and searching this are most likly the guitar im interested;

1) bob marley epiphone les paul
2) epiphone les paul std
3) ibanez rg350dx
4) jem jr ( most likley this gotta be cancel out, been hearing lots of comments on this)

hmm the type of songs im playing are GNR songs, and hmm coldplay, ac/dc and some joe starina stuff. which guitar do u guys recommend me? i really love the feel and design on bob marley, i tried it out over my friend house, he had one. But, who is bob marley? i didnt know this person until i search his name, not really a fan of his, but i really love the natural colour of his guitar, althought the face printed is abit turnoff, sorry if this sound offending, hehe im kinda limited at music stuff hehe, but i dun mind that, anyway to remove his face?

i just bought the rg350ex bk not too long it's the black with silver pickguard version of what u are thinking of... my reviews arent too good man.... the bridge (edge III) din stay in tune after I whacked it ( a few heavy dive bombs and pulls) and the pickups aint too good picking up my hammerons and pull offs harmonics etc.... intonation is ****ed with factory settings but that one can be adjusted....

RG350dx. I think Ibanez is the only company that mass produces guitars without much compromise in quality. Bob Marley is the godfather of reggae. Tell me you were joking on that. And who the heck is joe starina?

Hello my young friend, do some research on Bob Marley and have a listen to his music , I think every musician digs Bob Marley and his reggae music .
Give him a listen first , if you really do not like reggae music then don't get the Bob Marley special or u can wiped his face away

cheers

bob marley is the king of reggae.. haa..

if u like the feel n design of the "bob marley les paul" i tink it's b'cuz it's a flat top les paul..

yar sorry my bad, i was a com addict tat got no social life until recently hehe, yeah i mean i love the sound it gave from the bob marley guitar not only the design. hmm i also had heard tat base on my friends review on sg350dx, hehe i think im going for the bob marley lp

You should get a normal Les Paul, you should try one out. Just trust me on this, that face will piss you off in a few months time. You'll be going like why did i buy this instead of a normal LP?? Basically check what pickups and wood the bob marley LP is, and get a standard one with the same config.

about the com addict thing, you sound like my ragnarok playing friend.

between 3 and 4, i would go for 3 hands down.

Between 1,2,3, it's easy actually.

Which one you need?
- fixed bridge vs floating tremolo
- mahogany vs basswood
- finished-chunky neck vs fast-thin-shredder heaven neck
- heavy vs lighter
- single cut vs double cut

Really depends on what you play, if you play good charlotte simple plan garbage you could just get the LP just like them. Everyone i know has an LP.

i lub to play blues and oldies, lub allman brother stuff, lub gnr, lub coldplay, but i dun really enjoy punk and metal stuff hehe, i think i going to try out all the guitars before i make my decision

For the stuff u list I think an Lp has the tone u seek (rock and blues) but then the lack of whammy is a thing to be considered in the future... try the bob marley... I think it is nice...

the face ca wipe away ar ? really love natural finish guitar, btw lp look so cute, hehe todae was my 1st time seeing it in real life, it look much smaller than i imagine, althought the weight nvr fail me

the RG350 isn't a bad guitar. when you acquire a floating bridge equipped unit, there're bound to be tuning issues, especially when the guitar isn't well set up, more so after a string change. the EdgeIII vibrato unit is one of the more reliable ones from Ibanez.

since you have specified singlecut guitars on your list, do check out the offerings from Burny & Tokai.

for the music you play, perhaps the Ibanez RG would be a better choice - Joe Satriani uses a trem bridge instead of a fixed bridge.

But if you foresee yourself not using the tremolo that often, i would think either the Bob Marley or the Std LP would be a good choice - serves your GnR and AC/DC influences.

Don't limit yourself to the signature name of the guitar. I think it'll be good for you, if you can rock to whatever music you like on a Bob Marley signature... that's simply more than enough. :)

Do you seriously think this guy plays the satriani stuff which require tremolo work? he sounds like a noob, no offence.

were you a noob once?
do you use the tremolo now?
There you have it.

although I must admit, your post was funny at first glance.

i have an epiphone les paul standard plus and i find that the sound is thick enough compared to bob marley and ibanez's guitars......though the stock pickups may be a little muddy as for the jem jr my friend told me the tremelo really sucks......but if i would think that it's not worth that kind of money to get a steve vai guitar that does not even get you 1/2 of his sound......an epiphone les paul standard should keep you happy considering your gnr influences......just like me :)

hi ya thx for all the advice, i had decided to get the bob marley one. :D sorry for being sound like an idoit, im been seriously addicted to computer that i literally need to be dragged out of my room. If u guys still remembers, there is one article written on new paper that the person is so addicted to his xbox games tat he nvr step out of his house for 3 years, in tat article im being interviewed as one of the past victims, i was one of the earlier victim before him. And thats why im being so out of social now hehe, im still on medication. i guess bob marley epip lp will make a great instrument for me, cos im more on blues influcences like bands like allman brother, and i ought to be shot for not knowing who is him. Too i love coldplay, gnr, ac/dc, led zepplin and those old school rock band, yeah. and if anyone rem, yesterday sunday, was the 35 annversary of jimi hendrix. yeah.

Get the Bob Marley man. :) It fits your influences.

And besides... You CAN sandpaper that face off right? RIGHT?
