In this world of science nothing is impossible. Any guitar is a versatile guitar because there are ways to modify the sound(pedals/effects).I personally vote for a Strat cause its comfy,sounds good and plays easy.

Its correct, what you say, but I believe a versatile guitar is one that packs a punch when it needs to, has the attack when called for, and baiscally can morph its sound from warm to bright to bassy and rich... to anything.

Too bad there's no such thing. LOL. :lol:

The guitar wood and neck wood plays a huge part.

I choose not to call that Line6 a real guitar. I agree with mikemann that a fat Strat or I call a super strat is a versatile guitar. Don't have to be a Fender, Yamaha among others is equally good for the budget conscious.

why is it called a super strat? why is "fat" strat called "fat"? is it because of the humbucker? super strat == fat strat? :?

Fat strat more or less just means, the presence of a humbucker. Then you have those big apple, double fat strats, basically meaning, two humbuckers.

Super strat, are all those evolved stuff based on the model of the strat. Extra frets to extend the range, additions of this and that to make the guitar a better one to play on, etc etc.
