Which band has the best screamer?

Tom Arayas scream on Angel of Death's track was orgasmic sia. But he lost his voice over the years.

the intro scream for AOD now sucks lawl. But Slayer still owns.

Other than him..i have to agree with Randy Blythe from Lamb of God, he can growl and the lyrics are still so clear and audible.


Worst scream/growl has to go to Behemoth...coz i can NEVER make out what hes saying without referring to lyrics(which in turn are very well written)

Behemoth some parts actually PRETTY clear. Just that he speaks in that weird jesus-satan language. APO PANTOZ KAKO DEMONAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or something like that.. :/

Worst scream/growl = randy blythe too actually. Black Label = wtf?

Lord Worm of Cryptopsy. Dammit I just hate his vocals. He growls terrible, he screams even worse IMO. Nergal isn't a good vocalist either, if you ask me... Very strange, forced vocals. And he doesn't scream... He tries to growl..

hmm.. i say zao and the chariot. Come to think of it, most bands today have good screams.probably perfected their chops from vocal teachers and instructional dvds. its hard to say who has the best scream as they are all up there..

aaron do the clean vocals while spencer do the screams and more hardcore stuffs.

avenged sevenfold has an okay vocalist, but shitty screamer.

the guy from dir en grey has a great range and style. anthony green can both sing and scream decently.
refused, converge, pantera all have great screamers.

hmm, there's a difference between scream and gore . screamo's mainly by metalcore bands.
Arch enemy is a melodic death metal band . and Angela does gore .


ps : Screamo is often mistaken as a generic term for screaming in music, though it actually refers to a specific emo subgenre.

I thought m.shadows of a7x does both singing and screaming? he has abit of old school influence in his singing which I like.. all the yea-ea-ea-ea.. haha

anthony green has a nice 'screamo' scream, same with old senses fail vocalist. saosin's Seven Years and Senses Fail's The Irony of Dying on Your Birthday.

converge is just crazy, you cannot follow what jacob is screaming unless you look at lyrics.

yeah i was referring to the fact that whoever the vocalist for avenged sevenfold is better as a vocalist than a screamer. the reverse is true for senses fail's vocalist.

also lovelovelovelove clarity, sometimes. converge is all about brutalness so the screaming fits.
