Laney depends on which model. The laney amps I've used feedback too easily and feature a very sharp tone.

The Laney tube ones yay. Even the people at Crazy Elephant use them.
The Laney HC max series nay. Probably not much difference in sound from the Ibanez SS ones.

Between the Laney and the Ibanez, basically what Ark said. If they are tube yes. if not I'll still take the HCs the Toneblasters from Ibanez sound damn fugly.
