Where's your favourite guitar shop?.

i like passing by davis but i hate going in. its very crampy. have to squeeze here and there especially with the small amps on the floor. and the stuffs are inaccessible. cant go near2 touch2. and the service...though there's a guy down there very friendly.

swee lee attracts me with the freedom to walk in its spacious store and to touch2 things. and i like the variety of the guitars though i dont really digg ibanez which is rather the main guitar brand there. heard bad service bout it, never encountered any.

ranking...very weird shop. got sports and guitars..rather ironic combination. haha. squeezy...not my type. haha.

blackwood....man...pure class. what more can i say?

fav: blackwood

i just realise after writing this, that i already posted before. hhahahah

what hot chick?
you mean the salesgirl with the crappy attitude that stares at me just cos im in my uniform, looking and not buying?
i have to say the older auntie is pretty nice though.
she attended to me when i was just started out and choosing so many weird pick, scrutinizing them, and realizing i didn't like it, putting it back, and taking new ones.

i think swee lee likes you if you have money, and i think the guy at maestro in penin is pretty cool.

I was helping my friend to buy his first bass, We had no idea what to get and so I made him try afew stuff, and this hot chick was pretty helpful. I think she's some sort of manager over there. But yeah, generally their service kinda suck. G77's x 10000000000 better.

Favourites for me, die die would be Standard Value!

I like most of the guitar shops I've been to before. Some shops I've never bothered with because their stuff is just so high-end. I paid Blackwood guitars a visit a while back. Nice stuff! Ebenex is a bit too far for me but I'll probably head there for pedals someday for the sake of reasonable prices and great gear. (And of course the many good comments about Ebenex here on this forum )

Look at your location(Marsiling) LOL, no wonder Standard Value supporter, but seriously Standard Value guitar services is not bad for the pricing. I check out the Swing guitar from Korea, it's really one of the Guitar brand to look out.

Not bad? Its the only guitar shop so far where I've felt cozy . I'd go there even if I lived in the South. MRT makes things so much easier nowadays...

Swings are amazingly well-made, though I've never dared to play one just yet. I've also tried the Marliques at SV and they are also superb guitars . Not made by an Indonesian factory, but made by Indonesian luthiers.

My most favourite shop is now,

TYMC!. Friendly people! I enjoy going there to try pedals!. :D

Friendly staff I've come across at Guitar77(Rui), Music Theme, Jade Music, Davis. The hot chick and the abang is friendly too!

blackwood for me! the people are nice and let you try stuff for a long time even if you don't buy anything at the end.

I'm kinda scared to go to blackwoods with all the boutique gears. But I did go there once & it was memorable, I met Jon Chan of Plainsunset there! Woo! :D

ahaha i always see jon chan from plainsunset at zen guitarwerks when he brings his guitars down for setups

ocassionally i'd see giants must fall, cardinal avenue and some other local bands there too

dont really have a favorite shop, as long as the staff is friendly, its cool!

Niteblade: If that's the case, I'll hang out at Zenguitarworks most of the time! :D
Friendly staff is the way to go!

Ryanz: Standard value is too far from me but I'll try to go there one day.
