i have some problems with my bass and i wouldn't want to risk destroying it with my butter fingers

can you guys kindly recommend me any place to get it fixed and also the charges ? thanks! :D

hey redname how much does that set-up cost? for me i would be probably be asking for removal of fret buzz.

It is better to get quotes from Guitar Connection and Guitar workshop first. No point wasting extra money just from a simple set up that u can do yourself, if you know how .

cheers

Does anyone know how much a standard set up of a 5 string bass will cost me? and where's the best place to go to for set ups? reccomandations? :?:

what kind of setup do you want? i can do it for you for a small fee if it's within my abilities ..

Hmmm.. i'm sure you can do a fine job, but would be more comfortable sending it int o a shop. sorry!

well, i'm not offended really .. i know that you wouldn't want to put your bass in a hands of someone you dunno .. ahahah . =) .. but why not? . anyway if you really want, Guitar Workshop will do the setup for you .. also .. Swee Lee at Aljunied .. have to go to their workshop there .. Luther Music at Excelsior will also do it for you i think, Maestro also at the same place, Davis Guitars also ..

Yeah .. =) ..

hey exin, do you think i can bring my bass to fix the faulty strap nut, at those places you mentioned? or do they only do setups?

Sure can .. but if you want Guitar Workshop will be the best .. they have a real workshop there compared to the other places i've mentioned ... goodness .. they do repainting of guitar bodies in their shop lah ..

yeah . go GW lah .. if i want i would always go there .. cool guys over there .. =) ..

Wellz, it all depends on what you see as a workshop?

Wat happen to your strap pin? Is it loose?

If so, you can easily DIY.

Remove the strap pin and fill up the hole with toothpicks.

Snip off the excess ends with a nut clipper.

Pour in white glue and wait for it to dry.

Clean of the excess glue and rescrew in yr stap pin.

That will be what the shops will do for u =)

Save the $$ to buy more stuff

Yo Kid , please do not live up to your slacker name, do a google search on the net just type bass set up and there are many website explaining what is a set up , they are even pictures too to help you understand.
