Where to get Allan Holdsworth cds?

Allan Holdsworth's 'Best of' album is in SOFT's review database.

my personal fav has to be All Night Wrong, the master's fluid passages are put to the test in a live context. very jaw-dropping/ inspiring.

Does anyone know? What album should I buy for newbies like me? :D

Allan Holdsworth! The name itself is like an institution of guitar playing ya!

Ok, because Holdsworth's playing and his music has evolved through the years I would recommend 3 must have albums for any guitar player interested in his playing and want that "Jaw Drop" experience. I won't include the albums where he's using the SynthAxe for the time being as it gets confusing for the listener and myself at times even as to whether it's a keyboard player or a horn player.

Holdsworth's approach on guitar playing is often a love hate thing for guitar players of traditional and established genres as he doesn't sound like a guitarist even on the electric. His beautiful chordwork is voiced like a keyboard player and his soloing tone and phrasing is like John Coltrane on acid blowing his sax. Ultimately Allan Holdsworth is a living legend and in my opinion is the most ground breaking guitar player now and for a long time coming. Glad to meet other fans here too ya.

Recommended Allan Holdsworth CDs that feature his Electric Guitar works;

1. Road Games (Check out Tokyo Dream)
2. Metal Fatigue (check out Devil Take the Hindmost)
3. IOU
(check out the chord swells for Shallow Sea)

i got Road Games from Border's for cheap during their sale- $14...

Great, was it an American pressing?

Road Games was an album made possible because of Eddie Van Halen's admiration for Holdsworth he got his producer and his label then "Warner Bros" to produce that album.
