it doesn't need to be a specific brand. i just want to know if there's any particular shops that sells these kind of things. i'm unfamiliar with hardware shops whereabouts. haha.

i understand i can probably get the switches from Guitar Connection but i'm not so sure about the enclosure and small cables.

feel free to ask any questions if i've missed out any details.

i would appreciate if someone could help!

thank you!

:)

you can try sim lim tower for wires. for the rest of the parts, places like sound alchemy or tymc should have them..

rs component and the other one, element 14(formally known as farnell) are the bigger supplier. If you are doing diy, their prices are actually too expensive liao.

Sim lim tower 3rd floor is the place where most diyers started out. 3rd floor in there got many shops to walk around and get your parts and at a much much more cheaper price.

For enclosure just for tap tempo, you can used any other than those diecast type. JMS in the forum here uses a nin jiom sweet container for his tap tempo. Simlim tower got sell those sizes kinda hard plastic container which is suitable for usage as well. If die die wanna cast iron type, check with ty music center or soundwave MM to see if they have it.

For the step on switch, what you need for tap tempo is a "momentary" switch. For these kinda footswitch commonly used in effect pedals. The usual on/off switch in more effect pedal is known as a "latch" on type, aka step one time to make connection and step another time to cut the connection.

For tap tempo, you need a momentary footswitch, aka when stepped on, you have the connection, when you released pressure off the switch, the connection is cut.

I have bought some of these momentary footswitches(different looking from the pic posted, but work similarly) before from sim lim tower. You will need to know what you need as the aunties over there have no idea of effect pedals. Just walk around the shops there and look see look see. Plenty of things to check out.

For mono jack, again, simlim tower 3rd floor got plenty and much cheaper price than those found in geetar shops. For diying, such cheap jacks are more than goot enough.

For the wires, again, simlim tower 3rd floor. Usually there be 2 type, single strand and multi strand(as the one shown in the picture you posted). Single strand type are harder, but able to shape it into any kinda shapes. Multistrand one made up of many fine wires in it and softer to work with. Both work as well. Those can be found at sim lim tower usually comes in a small drum roll
