where to fix ipod

hi guys i have a 4th gen ipod which is dead, i was wondering where i could go to fix it. i cnat go to apple because my warrantys up and i'll have to pay as much as getting a new ipod, so does anyone know any 3rd party stores where i could fix my ipod? thanks

i dont think it's battery , it used to show this ipod with a X_X face. no it just shows the apple logo and nothing happpens

actually my ipod's battery was kinda dead too, I went toapple centre and they tried it out and it got fixed

Just in case you still want to fix it, I reckon you google around now cuz so many sites are up now for self-fixing iPods.

There are even sites to sell spares and they show you how to fix it (since Apple wouldn't).

my ipod vid 5gen died (showed the apple logo, hard disk spinning den restart)on me like 3 mths ago, was so devastated sia. . . 30gb worth of songs in there. . . had to dismantle it (dunno where i got the tip from) n shook the hard disk a bit. . . put it back all together den suddenly it was fine. . .but i had to restore the ipod n all my songs gone, luckily i got backup my songs on my fren's ipod. . .phew!

if u want, i wud help u do for free. . .

erm, my mini died, and I paid for warranty like twice before.
I got sick of it.

anyway I got my battery fixed for 45 bucks.

cause the shop damn hard to find ah, then had to ask around for an hour or so.
