Where to change pickups and how much?

the best place. Beez, he does it in front of you, with top workmanship and great guy too. he's told me of tales of what other shops do..

standard value, look for mike. top notch service. great guy too. he charges $25 per pickups if im not mistaken.

Learn to do it yourself. It'll be fun and interesting for beginners. really.

Yeah, man! If you're a guy, you've got to learn to be a little technical at times. :D
DIY first & if it doesn't works, then send it to the expert. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck!

Yes, you need solder and soldering iron and also to read wiring diagram but diagrams given by the manufacturers are simple to read though ;)

try it out man.I dont even hace the diagram/schemetics and i managed to solder it.Just a matter of brains and gambling.

To answer the previous page's questions :

TYmusic center is located at the basement of Excelsior hotel which can be found next to Funan. ( Alternatively you can enter from Peninsula Plaza )

For soldering questions, yes i would advise you to go to Beez who is located at Roxy Square ( Enter from Roxy Hotel's side ) if youre in the east.

Great service, in front of your eyes, and extreme friendliness extended.

Alternatively you can try Mike at Standard Value at Woodlands. ( Buses 911/913 from Woodlands interchange. Do check the direction of the buses )

Well, for the other shops at Peninsula well, I haven't had any of my works done by the people there, so i wont comment. But based on hear say all i can express is..

If you wanna try it yourself be aware of the consequences that may follow yea :D

i once tried to change the pickups myself and well, i screwed it. LOL. afraid to spoil the pickups due to some electrical "shock" caused by the improper wiring, i brought it to beez. he charged me 25 per passive humbucker. quite reasonable in my opinion.

he is uber friendly and he also teach as he fixes the stuff, so u can diy at home next time.

Certain things best you leave it to the experts, certain things better to learn to do yourself. Changing pickups is 1 of them. You'll save money especially when you want to experiment with different pickups.
