Where to buy my new electric guitar from?

Hey there, David. I started out last June with the same problem as you. I had my mind set on something from Squier, and intended to get the 200 dollar deal from sweelee for a Squier Bullet Special (the one with one humbucker/-). Thankfully, something came over me and I got an Ibanez Gio GSA06 LTD deal at around 350 instead. It was probably the best decision of my life. I'm sure I wouldn't have progressed half as fast with that excuse of a guitar I intended to get initially.
The point of my anecdote is to put across how it's very likely that as a beginner, we are going to make some really shitty decisions and choices, and it's important to try the bloody thing before making any purchases.
Only purchase from Sweelee during their sales. And try the guitars before the sales day because you aren't allowed to on the day itself.
Lastly, I'm pretty proud of my Gio. I performed at a school event with it recently, and it's really working out for me, so if it feels right for you, go for it.
