One word before you jump in and die of salivation over this guitar. Did you know that the truss rod only goes in half way? When the guitar eventually gets a bit of back bow, you'll find that no matter what you do, there's always a bump at the 12th fret you can't remove unless you get some serious fret or neck work done.

I used to have one. I got rid of it as quickly as I could after I found that out.

Give me an Edwards LP anyday man...

Many don't realise it, because most Epi players I think are just starting out before moving on to better built guitars which don't have these problems... But when you have a back bow, and try to bow it back the right way, you end up with a S shaped neck...

What's a back bow if you don't mind me asking? A form of neck warp is it?

It's the neck bending backwards. It's not a sign of warping. It's natural. Most guitars will have back bows after a while if you remove all the strings.

Knowing their quality, I'd buy it without trying... Unfortunately, I don't like SGs...:mrgreen:

i tried the 3-humbucker version @ Davis- above average, but the LP type models sound more appealing.

and most epi are MIC now... a bit scary.. though
