As mentioned on my thread title, I have enquired alot of guitar shops and none of them are able to replace the covers. Can anyone tell where can I get it replaced? Your help will be appreciated!

After researching on old threads, realise that it is not worth it to replace the covers. But if anyone are able to know someone or a place that do replacement at a lower price, I will consider. Thanks in advance!

I was once interested (and still now) in winding my own pickups before, and replacing and installing covers are actually pretty easy. It just requires you to be really careful with it. To remove the cover, you need to use something like a pen knife to remove the soldering lead from the cover. If you use a soldering iron to remove them, it is quite more complicated because sometimes the lead might re-stick to itself. And then you can safely and djently remove the cover and replace with the new one. The only hard part of it is re-potting but is not a requirement. You can re-solder the new cover onto the pickup and done (:

Thanks for the advice, but I would give the professionals to replace for me unless I do have extra cash to experiment it myself. Seems like a risky thing to do it myself

I'm assuming you are referring to covered humbucker pickups. Usually people remove the covers of Gibson pickups, extend the split wire so that they can split the pickup. sounds great. the hard part is putting the cover back on.

Guitar Connection can do the job.

Hi, I've replaced my pickup cover for my neck pickup on my Gibson SG Standard. It's fairly easy, I did it all by myself, and no, I did not have to solder back the cover, it will fit snugly actually, due to the wax. Without the wax, it will still be quite unlikely for it to fall off.
