sim lim tower sells a standard 500k pot for about 80 cents. but ask the uncle first yah.

a pot is a potentiometer thats not only used in geetar but basically in engineering industry as well

Its nothing but a variable resistor. Those at simlim can be used as well. But if you are unsure or not willing to try out, then spend the money and get those meant for geetar instead.

If not wrong, you cant get alpha one in the shops locally. Unless they bring those in specifically. Still you can get those pushpull or norm one from the shops, theres lotsa other brands.

whats more important is to know whether what you need, is linear or log pot. Alpha or not, thats of the least importance.

it's an A500k, yes, and it's a push/pull pot, good for your coil split. Are you in a hurry to get it? Cos I'm not quite free till around saturday/sunday.
