where can i find the cheapest tube amp?

i think to make things easier. My budget around $500 to $1k. prefer 30 to 40watt full tube amp. Any recommendations? if possible let me know the price n brand. Thanks a lot in advance :)

Frenzel 5e3 /w appropriate tubes to bump to 30W (head only) - frenzeltubeamps.com, ebay.com
Peavey Classic 30/50 secondhand - luthermusic.com
Vox AC15CC /w - Citymusic.com.sg
Ceriatone (mostly head only) - various - www.ceriatone.com
Occasional 2nd hand fulltube amps - luthermusic.com

Sorry, no prices, you can scour the prices/details from the links. They fit your budget and wattage spec if you select the appropriate choices and do up your math on getting them (along with/without shipping).

Dig the forums and search a bit. Tons of info there.

they still dun sound as good as a full tube amp though of course thats just my opinion. feel free to ignore

Re:cheapest tube amp

forget abt most cheap tube amp.
if u want good tube amp sound, there aren't cheap!again depends on wat u can effort...
good ss amp can be cheap but they cant touch the good tube amp warmer sound,so u decide between price n wat u want!

about 3 months ago, i found THIS on ebay for US$250. my guitar has never sounded so good, although i still need to ground the plug.

Could anyone give examples of a good SS amp? Ah i remember there's this brand which does super super high end and insanely expensive SS amps and they market themselves as 'the best' rawr can't remember... I Think we can divide SS amps into modelling amps and non modelling amps. don't care if got tube preamp or not. I'd say modelling amps are more versatile, but whether 'better' or not would be subjective.

Personally i like the Roland Cubes and the Ibanez TB amps on the distortion channel, but mostly because it comes with a mid shift. Guess if you can EQ an SS amp you'll get decent sounds.. Fenders and Laneys have nice cleans IMO. *This is a comparison between SS amps*
