Where can I find a low-mid end 7 string guitar?

Hello,

I'm sick and tired of djenting on a 6 string guitar, so I think it's time to take a step ahead. I'm looking for a back-up guitar to be used for recording and not going to bring it out for jamming. My main guitar is a 6 stringer, but sometimes it felt like 6 is not enough and sometimes my djent addiction symptoms refuse to go away. So, I'm looking for a medical treatment, a 7 string to cure this. Anyone knows where I can find a low-mid end 7 string guitar in Singapore? Not looking into online stores for now. I tried looking at swee lee (bras basah outlet) but there's only 2 available and is about 700$ over budget.

Thank you!

Try the Omen 7, I think that's prolly your only bet now. If not there's a Dean Vendetta on soft right now.

Shops in singapore rarely have a nice palette of 7 string selections from what i have noticed. Buying online would be a great alternative if you dont mind the hastle

Many shops in singapore also offer concierge services, by sourcing for you the model you want and help you ship it into Singapore. Prices should be quite reasonable too, bro J.custom should b able to attest to that :D

For really unbeatable value, i saw this guitar recently,

It seems to be a subsidiary brand of Schecters, only 199usd for a brand new 7 string guitar, specs are nothing fantastic though

You could check out the ESP/ltd selection too at davis if you are into normal scale length guitars or the scheters for their long scale guitars :)

Hi,

Does schecter and ibanez gio sells a budget 7 string? I know SV and Swee Lee supllies ibanez but who supplies Schecter?

Ty

Schecter- Davis, got mine from them. i'm checking with them if they can bring in the SGR C-7 as well, so hold your horses...

The SGR model i recommended is a budget schecter brand, schecter themselves also have lower end 7 strings. Typically those with basswood body and bolt on neck are cheaper, have a look at the schecter website

I don't really like schecter 7 strings. the neck is a tad bit chunky compared to other brands. the value for money is unbeatable though.

really?? just today?.. is it good coz the trem seems to be unreliable.. ca nyou post pics of your brand new TR7 bro?

Hey bro!

I bought it last year actually. They might still have stocks. I know the Katong showroom used to have a lot of these and the Bras Basah showroom has one hanging just behind where the Cort electric guitars are being hanged.

I will go take a photo and post it here later

It is definitely not super, but to me it plays n sounds better than the non-Prestige Ibanez models that cost twice more.

I got my eyes on a loomis schecter sig but quite expensive,. i hope SGR(schecter's budget line) will have a sig models for those who cannot afford the orig... maybe i should just try both the TR7 and SGR C-7, well if I have the time..

Sorry I took sooo long...here are some pics of my Peavey Predator TR 7. The pups have been swapped out with Dimarzios:p
