is that the one that can work with any polarity?

how much is it? tnx

i didn't know one adaptor can work with any polarity :? i thought the one spot was a DC adaptor nt an AC adaptor.

in case you might want to get a onespot anytime soon, no stock till next week i think. went down twice and no stock. give g77 a call first :)

it can work with positive center but u need an adaptor. if u use 1 positive center all the pedals in tha chain needs to be positivie center. No mixing.

Positive center.

oh yeah i see those symbols on adaptors. no idea what they meant. some are diamond shape instead of round though. time to talk to my electonics lecturer!

See the marking points to the middle circle and says "+" so that's a positive center. The marking also points to the outer portion and says "-" so there you go.

Most pedals are positive center now, but back in the day they made lots of fuzzes which were negative center. You can't mix the two in a daisy chain or they'll short out.

i think you can mix. just group them together in a chain like (+) (+) (+) (-) (-) just use a converter for the different ones. my friend does this to his boss pedals

i suck at Physics, so i dont really know all this AC stuff.

all i know is beside the AC input, there's this tiny sticker saying "USE BOSS PSA ADAPTOR ONLY (9V DC)"

yeah...

hahaha

can get the boss ac adaptor from swee lee at bras basah complex. alternatively the one spot as mentioned by shredcow. both should work fine. :)

Nope you can't mix a positive center pedal with a negative center pedal on the same power supply. By doing that you're effectively connecting the positive to the negative and hence shorting it.

if its a parallel circuit the ending negatives should not affect the positives as the current should not loop back to the positives. i think that's what the converters in the combo pack are for...

(+) (+) (+) (-) (-)

im not an electronics guy though but i studied it in hs  anyway whatever it is, it works for my friend  his pedals are still alive... note: still hehehe

Ok I see where the confusion arose.

No mixing of Positive ground pedals with Negative ground pedals on the same power supply.

The funny thing is some pedals might have Negative ground circuits but have positive center input jacks. Usually you'll see -ve ground pedals with negative center jacks, or +ve ground pedals with positive center jacks. But I guess there are exceptions.

Most Boss pedals use a negative center connection. I'm unaware of any that use a positive center. If you would mix the normal Boss pedals with a positive ground pedal, like an old fuzz, you'd get a short.

What's this special pedal your friend has?
