Hey man,

Just thought it might be fun to share the kind of rigs that you use for your live shows? Like guitars, effects, whatever...

Eg,
I normally use a Strat or sometimes a Ibanez SG lookalike (my No 2) guitar, or a Rickenbacker 330-12 for some songs.

Effects-wise, it's qte basic: BOSS peds - OD-2, CH-1, DD-3, TR-2, FV 500L; Ibanez TM-5, crybaby wah... until a couple years ago, augmented with a beat-up BOSS ME-10. with a DI-box for PA setups.

What do you use??? Do tell!!!

Btw , I thought rig stood for the amp backline, but I could be wrong here.

I use Boss LM-2B, Hartke Bass Attack DI with my Fender P-Bass. Superb tone! 8)

I use the Ibanez S470DX model with a 30-watt Ibanez Toneblaster X.
Effects wise, I'm currently using a Boss MT-2, Randolf Modded DS-1(switchblade mod), and an Ibanez DE7.

Fender Stratocaster 60th Ann Through My Marshall MicroStack II..
Planning to buy EHX Metal Muff or Nano metal muff.. 8)

+1 rylche,i also thought rig is amp and whatever rack that you're using...what you guys are mentioning is gear n effect, not rig,but then again,i may not be right

yeah, generally rigs are the common term for what musicians use onstage, can be anything (gear, amps, etc).

So, yes, it does means amp line-ups, but also includes rack systems, which also includes effects... so....

Oh well, I just thot it would be fun to share what you guys are using, etc...

Which is what I intended anyway.

maybe I should have been clearer... it's a SOTM thing. Sorry for any confusion.

Btw, I am pretty used to the Peavy 112 system amps...

I can't help it....

Parker P44/ Ibanez SA 260FM through a Korg AX30g multi-efx, Dunlop JH1 wah , MXR MicroAmp Booster with a Vox Pathfinder 15 watt

BUT its a rig nonetheless!

im using a epi LP custom (still waiting for them pups to arrive), PWtuner-stupidbox-crunchbox-bd2-ad9-dd6-clonetheory-EBVP into a vox ad50vt

mine's a prs tremonti se guitar fitted with an emg81 at the bridge. neck is the stock pickups which is pretty sweet actually, good for cleans. using a boss gt-6 guitar effects processor. i used mainly the marshall amp simulation on gt6 + whatever effects is needed for certain songs during gigs. nice to hear a close enough familliar marshall distortion tone when you're sometimes given a crappy amp during gigs. im no pedal obsessor but the gt6 definitely has an arsenal of 'pedal' choices. as such my current rig definitely does the job for me :D

XlayaR, those things are towed out to sea by tug boats, after which they are set upright for installation, held in position by anchors/mooring lines. Then they jack-up the platform (i.e. lower the legs) until the legs touch the sea bed. Thus the name "Jack-Up Rig". They're used in shallower waters, so yes the legs actually touch the sea bed.

haha i see u've done ur research :)

mine's plain and simple, a fender 60th anniversary strat thru a vox pathfinder 15r. no pedals cuz i cant afford any
