no wonder so many people endorse Ernie Ball strings. it has nothing to do with the strings being good, though.
Hi serialninja, you are very wrong in saying that. If the strings are lousy, then you are saying that all the people using ernie ball are idiots, especially those stars who endorse it.
Sometime I also wonder why it flys off the shelf. As opposed to cheaper and longer lasting strings. The answer lies in the playing properties of the strings itself. It must have great feel and great tone, better then other brands, thus it's more popular. It's also not as expensive as some other strings. What we may call, best performence in its price bracket.
This in itself should be reason enough, as being a performer, you have to find ways to improve what you can produce. If it's the guitar, you change it, if its the strings, you change it too.
There is a reccomended string change schedule, normally branded ones reccomend change of strings every 1 or 2 weeks time. So if you stick to the reccomendation, strings snapping and corrosion should not be a issue for the strings itself.
You have a valid reason, as a consumer viewpoint. But sometime have to stand back and look at the bigger picture before making such sharp judgement. Peace bro, ok? 8)
