whats a good stand alone smooth overdrive pedal

i don't understand why people would want to hide or lie about how they got their sounds.. i mean.. 90% of it is in the fingers.. even if someone were given the chance to play EVH's exact setup.. he most likely would not be able to nail the tone because he isn't EVH.

But how do we know that your source is correct either?

EVH a liar? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised. Even Slash has been confusing on what he's used on AFD.

I dint say my source was correct....but...if you see a yellow pedal taken in a picture by people who's been to an EVH gig....you'd know....a picture speaks a thousand words.

Not some random interview which he can say what he wants.

I feel like buying the Coolcat Fuzz just for fun since its a copy of the peach fuzz. Damn I'm cheap like that! hahaha...

Hey nigel! I'll help you out, Danelectro TOD for the transparent od at a really cheap price, knobs are hard to tweak though and at high volumes, the signal may distort. Really cheap pedal though.

I believe i've suggested the sd-1 to you before.

More importantly, what do you mean by smooth? Care to quote some examples?

Haha i tot you were into Wylde?!

Unfortunately the fuzz + chorus are also both sold out.

My coolcat pedals: TO,Drive, Metal, tremolo

All sound great.

bob: I STILL AM MAN! haha, wylde lives in me. but due to more church playing lately, gotta compromise la. can't have the adults head banging to some metal shit in church. lets meet up soon man! met josh that day and he was talking all about your gear and shit

anyway for all you people out there, i've bought the cool cat TOD. haven't tested it though. as soon as i do, you'll hear from me again (:
