What Will happen if u put yr guitar close to the TV???

Unless you place your pickups close to the TV for long periods of time, no.

Just treat pickups as though they are just magnets for purposes of such questions.

Your pickups will develop myopia. Also it depends on what programme the TV is showing. If it's watching teletubbies it may develop hippie tendencies, if it's Alias it'll start drooling at the sight of Jessica Alba, if it's pokemon it may have epileptic seizures.

Seriously, if your guitar is not plugged in, nothing's gonna happen. Unless you leave the TV on and the guitar glued to it for 1 million years, then maybe the electromagnetic fields will demagnetize the pickups. If you have it plugged it you'll just get hiss

oops my bad I meant Jennifer Garner. SEE KIDS, THIS IS WHAT PUTTING YOUR GUITAR TOO CLOSE TO THE TV DOES!

edit : typo haha

if the guitar pickup is like a magnet, i worry more for your tv coz the magnet will affect the tv screen.

Hmm.

^ LOL.. and you just added to the bulk of the jennifer-garner-wanna-kissers.

Anyway, I do know that my single-coils pick up the ticking in my analogue watch, and the resulting sound coming out is this 'ping' sound, not unlike the 'ping' in "the hunt for the red october"...

there was this one time during one of my lessons i was talkin to my teacher, my guitar picked up some vibrations or smth, cause i started hearing my voice coming frm my amp...lolz...weird shit...
