Get your demos/tracks recorded at a decent quality.
Most importantly get tight as a band.
Its not about album sales, playing many/big shows, getting any sort of endorsement deal or making money.
Its about playing your heart out at a show, writing music that actually means something to you, and I guess you 'make it' when someone out there tells you they can relate to your music.
Its a long tough journey full of obstacles, and you probably will not be able to earn back the cost of air tickets through the gigs, but I can almost assure you it'll be an experience of a LIFETIME.
