What strings are recommended?

What brand and dimensions of strings are recommended for semi-accoustic?

I always feel that it's so strenous and stiff to bend my strings. Or is it caused by the action settings, either from the Nut or from the Bridge?

Juz to add one more point.. I bend either with middle finger acc. with index strength or ring finger acc. with middle and index strength...

Acoustics are usually strung with higher gauges, light gauges on an acoustic makes it sound very thin. Usually i like 12s or 13s on my acoustic. Might be your setup, i played taylors that were strung with 12s but well setup and they played like a dream.
