What scale is this?

Modal usage is useful only with respect to something, so even thought it is the notes of the C# hirajoshi scale, its probably the 5th mode, which would be represented by a drone A for bass or an appropriate chord progression

just for eg, the notes you stated for the other scale: A C# D E G#

they are some notes of the A major scale or the F# natural minor scale or A Double harmonic minor or the G# locrian or the G# persian scale, really depends on how you choose to use it, the chord progression, the note emphasis, the phrasing will make all the difference

can u eleborate on the double harmonic minor thing
what is it and how to get it how did the double harmonic thing came about?

anyway after so much comments there don't seems to be a fixed A something scale so I guess there ain't really a name for it just random notes that sounds cool

We seriously should have a separate section on just music theory alone cos on one hand while I'm learning alot here, I'm still baffled by some of the content in this thread.

This is the result of bordom. Thanks to NS I just sit in the sentry post and wonder all kinds of funny stuff that's how I came up with this. 12 hrs in the sentry post u can think of really weird stuff
